The Tuesday Drop #35 · Earnings · · 4 min read

Agentforce passes $1.5B ARR. Here’s the curve.

Three quarters of Salesforce numbers. The ARR is the headline, but the new metric is the one to copy: Salesforce now reports work done, not seats sold.

The number: $1.5B Agentforce ARR in Q2 FY27, up more than 240% year on year.

The curve

Agentforce ARR, as reported in Salesforce’s earnings releases:

  • Q4 FY26 (25 Feb): $800M, up 169% year on year. More than 29,000 deals since launch, 2.4B Agentic Work Units and nearly 20 trillion tokens.
  • Q1 FY27 (27 May): $1.2B, up 205%. 3.8B Agentic Work Units to date and 28.6 trillion tokens. Agentforce plus Data 360 at $3.4B.
  • Q2 FY27 (26 Aug): over $1.5B, up more than 240%. Agentforce plus Data 360 at nearly $3.9B. 7.0B Agentic Work Units to date, 3.2B of them in the quarter (up 97% quarter on quarter).

The rest of the quarter

Revenue was $11.3B, up 11%, and full-year guidance rose to $46.1–46.4B. Bookings for Agentforce One Edition and Agentforce for Apps more than doubled quarter on quarter.

“We just delivered one of our best quarters ever, outperforming across every key metric. AI is delivering value across every layer of our platform.”

— Marc Benioff, Q2 FY27 results

What it means for operators

Salesforce reports Agentic Work Units, which it describes as moments where AI didn’t just reason but delivered work. If the vendor measures completed work, your internal reporting should too. The operator who can show "agents closed 4,000 tasks this month at this cost" gets budget. The one who shows "we rolled out to 200 seats" gets questions.
